Black mulberry (Morus nigra), also called blackberry is a species of flowering tree growing to 15 metres. It’s easy to grow, and uncomplicated to take care of. The plant develops a lot of small flowers in May. The fruit is a compound cluster of several small drupes that are dark purple, 3 cm in diameter.
The fruit is edible and the tree has long been cultivated for this property. Syrup made from black mulberry fruits has different properties, it can be used against some infections, syrup induces cough, it also has antibacterial properties.
